A kaleidoscope is an optical toy. When you look through the eye piece, image patterns keep changing if you turn the kaleidoscope. This is why it is called kaleidoscope.

The concept of a kaleidoscope:
A kaleidoscope applies the concept of multiple light reflections. The image patterns formed by a kaleidoscope are under multiple light reflections. A kaleidoscope consists of three plane mirrors which form a triangular prism. Some tiny glass pieces are put inside the kaleidoscope. When three plane mirrors multi-reflect the light inside the kaleidoscope, symmetrical image patterns like flowers are formed.
